This year’s Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show featured no less that 2 845 awesome dogs!
The show is at Pier 92 and Pier 94 during the day and Madison Square Garden in the evening.
There were dogs of all shapes, sizes and coat types. Top dogs from around the country vie for honors at this prestigious event!
Three new dog breeds competed this year: the Chinook, Rat Terrier and Portuguese Podengo Pequeno. These breeds were recently recognized by the American Kennel Club for the first time.
A first at this year’s dog show was the agility trials. These took took place on Saturday. The trials are open to mixed-breed dogs, so this was the first time every that non-purebreds competed.

Best in Show
Sky, the Wire Fox Terrier takes home Best in Show and Champion of the Terrier groups!
Working Group
For 2 years in a row, Matisse, the Portuguese Water Dog, wins the Working Group! Congrats to the veteran!
Sporting Group
An Irish Water Spaniel takes the win in the Sporting Group! Congrats to Riley!
Herding Group
Congratulations to Coco Posh, the first Cardigan Welsh Corgi to win the Herding Group!
Non-Sporting Group
A retirement show for Ally, the Standard Poodle, was all worth it as she takes home the win for Non-Sporting Group!
Toy Group
Classic is consistent with her reputation as the top winning Mini Pincher! Congrats for winning the Toy Group!
Hound Group
Winner of the Hound Group is taken by GCH Flessner’s International S’Cess “Nathan”! Congratulations!
