Cooper, a silver Labrador Retriever, was last seen in a Sugarcreek Twp. yard and his owners are offering a $1000 reward for his return.
Ann McDonough said she was working in her Murphy’s Crossing yard near Sugarcreek Roan last Monday when her Lab went missing.
“He didn’t bark. He didn’t yelp like he was going through the electronic fence,” Ann said tearfully. “It appeared as if he just vanished.”
Cooper, who recently turned a year old, has a silver coloring, which is rare and sought after by some.
The family has searched hard hoping to find their beloved Lab. They are also offering a thousand dollar reward.
“No questions asked. We just want our boy back,”Ann said Friday.
The McDonoughs have hired a Cincinnati-based search team to help find Cooper.
“We’ve known his since he was two weeks old,” Ann said. She also noted that her daughters have been distraught since Cooper went missing.
Anna’s posts about the Cooper have been shared thousands of times on Facebook and several social media sites.
The McDonoughs are grateful for the support. She also said that she and her family simply want Cooper back.
“He’s a very sweet boy. He loves people and he loves to snuggle with you and loves his family. He is just the sweetest, nicest dog,” Ann said. ” He’s also chipped. He has tags with our name and number. He’s neutered. He’s a well cared for dog. If anybody took him, I just hope they don’t hurt him.”
