It’s that time of the year again! Pet insurer, Nationwide, has nominated the 12 most unusual pet claims of the year for the 2015 Hambone Award.
Every year, the pet health insurance company reviews its database of more than 550,000 insured pets to honor the “Most Unusual Pet Insurance Claim of the Year”.
The animal hospital that treated this year’s winner receives a $10,000 through the Veterinary Care Foundation to treat pets whose owners cannot afford treatment.
Here are the Hambone Award Nominees:

Lola had pulmonary edema and was treated for fluid in her lungs. Thankfully, her owners were able to get married after she was stabilized.
