That means your beloved Labradors can now join you for breakfast, or lunch, or dinner out under legislation signed last Thursday by Gov. Jerry Brown.
The law will take effect on January 1.
Many pubs, cafes, and diners have long allowed dogs on their decks and patios — it was technically illegal.
This gives restaurants the option to allow dogs in outside dining areas but discretion to allow dogs remains with the eatery.
The bill was pushed to clear up confusion about the legality of pets at restaurants. Many places were breaking the law.
