Life-Saving Surgery Gives Labrador Puppy A ChanceHolly, a yellow Labrador puppy born with a congenital defect now has a chance in life thanks to life-saving surgery arranged by a rescue group!

Until an animal rescue group stepped in Labrador puppy Holly had a bleak future. Now the sweet pup is getting a second chance at a healthy life.

Holly was born with a congenital defect and wasn’t able to eat or breathe properly.

Instead of putting the her down, the breeder just gave the puppy away.

Chesed Dog & Cat Rescue took Holly to the Coral Springs Animal Hospital where she had surgery on Wednesday.

Dr. Lisa Radosta told CBS Miami that without the operation, the Labrador puppy would have died.

“She would die, there’s no doubt because if you can’t get air through your trachea into your lungs and you can’t get food down to your stomach you can’t live.”

With the surgery, the pup may even be able to eat regular dog food, but it is more likely than she will only be able to managed liquidized food – a dog food smoothie or sorts.
