Labrador Retriever Fetches A Police Officer To Save Owners LifeAn amazing rescue Labrador Retriever fetches a police officer and saved his owner’s life!

A Germantown woman is alive today thanks to the actions of her quick-thinking and devoted rescue Labrador, John Boy!

Jeff Gonzalez of the Germantown Police Department found the black Labrador inthe Autumn Ridge neighborhood off of County Line Rd. in Germantown early Friday morning, Feb 13.

“He stood there and barked a little bit, then I rolled down my window and called to him. Then he wagged his tail and got more friendly until I got out of my car. And then he ran a little bit,” said Gonzalez.

John Boy was a Labrador with a plan. He needed help!

“In a roundabout way, yeah, he sure did. He pointed me in the right direction,” said Gonzalez.

The Labrador led the officer to his home. There, his owner, Krystal, was completely unresponsive. She was in a chair outside her front door, dressed in her pajamas.

“To be honest with you, I thought she was dead. And when I went up, she was very cold to the touch; her lips were blue. But I was able to determine she was breathing and had a pulse. I called for assistance and my partner was close. So together we got her in the house,” said Gonzalez.

Gonzalez called Krystal’s daughter and sister.

“Basically what he told me was, he said that they thought that she was dead. So it’s hard,” said Tianne Wendt, Krystal’s daughter.

Thanks to the awesome, loyal, loving and smart Lab, instead of having a tragic day, today is cause for joy!

Krystal has a heart condition and will remain in hospital for tests.

This Labrador was returned three times to rescue organizations before finding his forever home!

Perhaps it was meant to be? Perhaps the families who rejected this awesome Labrador really missed out? Who knows? What we do know is that John Boy is a hero who saved the day!

Thank You John Boy!
