In Scotland, a Labrador puppy has been accused of theft and murder.
On September 17, a man named Craig Johnston posted a joke complaint on Dumfries Galloway Police Division’s Facebook page.
According to the man, somebody stole the ends of his hose and hose gun, resulting in the death of his tulips.
The police ‘investigated’ and responded to the post saying they got a hold of CCTV footage which happened to capture the culprit in action. The police posted the thief in action – a Labrador puppy biting the end of hose as it hopped out of a kiddie pool.
After further ‘investigation’, the police identified the scoundrel – Labrador, Dudley, a 5-month-old puppy! They said Dudley was arrested yesterday morning and would appear in court today.
The post resulted in hundreds of people taking to Facebook and Twitter calling for the Labrador puppy’s freedom.
Twitter user @CllrGraemeTait said: “@DumfriesGPolice Can anyone help with the release of poor Dudley @NicolaSturgeon @JohnSwinney @MathesonMichael.”
Another user @asiansarebig tweeted: “@madshap_11 dudley is trapped in his doghouse, ted will fully support him and is just a bark away #freedudley #trappedinthedoghouse”
