A BLIND musician has trained her Labrador guide dog to be a music-aware.
Wyn Rendle joined up with Bolton’s Craig Slater and Guide Dogs Manchester Mobility Team to tune up the dogs in a hotel.
Ms Rendle was training her second guide dog, Orla, with an accordion as part of the training process. Orla is a yellow Labrador cross Golden Tetriever.
Orla, along with Mr Slater’s dog Thomas, is set to qualify in the coming weeks and is hoping to have many musical moments back with her owner at their Wigan home.
Mr Slater said: “Thomas will make a real difference to my life and give me the independence I need.”
The service transforms the lives of around 4,500 blind and partially sighted people every year.
