In Florida, a Labrador mix who was found with terrible burns has been getting the he needs.
The two-year-old black Labrador mix was brought to the Miami-Dade Animal Services with terrible wounds and burns on his back. The poor Lab, who the staff called Sam, was found by a stranger on June 28 in the Southwest 164th Street and 149th Avenue area.
According to Miami-Dade County’s website, the black Labrador mix is currently receiving treatment for his injuries to his back at the shelter.

The veterinarians looking into his case believe that his burns are likely caused by some chemicals – like motor oil or kerosene – that were put on the dog, possibly to remove external parasites such as fleas, mange, or ticks. They added that the chemicals likely burned the poor Labrador’s skin – leading Sam’s former owners to simply leave and abandon him.
Despite the appearance of Sam’s injuries, he is expected to make a full recovery and is already up for adoption.
If you’re interested in adopting this poor boy, visit the Miami-Dade Animal Services Pet Adoption and Protection Center at 3599 NW 79th Ave. in Doral, FL 33166.
