Labrador Mix Survives After Being Hit By A Train


Labrador Mix Survives After Being Hit By A TrainIn Missouri, a Labrador mix survived after being hit by a train on Saturday evening.

The dog was hit by the train sometime Saturday in Sibley, Missouri and was transported to Great Plains SPCA’s Independence Campus for emergency medical care.

“The conductor saw her and another man from the train jumped off to move her to safety until our officer arrived. It’s completely heartwarming to know how many people worked hard to save her,” the Great Plains SPCA posted in their Facebook account.

Staff at the SPCA called the GoldenLabrador mix “Poppy.”

Despite her condition, the vets were able to stabilize and treat her injuries. Poppy suffered a shattered femur, shoulder injury and her ear was badly damaged in the accident.

The Great Plains SPCA is now searching for Poppy’s owners.
