Lucy was the runt of the litter – nobody wanted her! Today, the wonderful chocolate Labrador who was discarded by a breeder for lacking Labrador champion traits, lives an awesome life.
“This is Lucy. She was much, much smaller than her litter mates from a purebred lab breeder. Nobody wanted to buy her because she didn’t have any of the “champion traits” or some bullshit. She also had some medical issues right out of the gate. Even at full grown, she is only 40 pounds or so. The breeder had sold the other dogs for $800, but couldn’t find her a home. I had $50 bucks on me and said “please let me take her home,” she wrote. “She is like this every day!”
Lucy is now full grown, weighing only 40 pounds. She’s a fun-sized chocolate Labbie with a big and sweet personality.
This adorable little girl is smart, playful and loves to sit for her humans, especially when she gets to show off her new rain boots!
Don’t you just love her beautiful smile?
