Labrador Acts As Mother For Tiger Cub And Deer FawnsWho says cats and dogs are sworn enemies?

It doesn’t seem like the case for a young tiger cub and his surrogate Labrador Retriever mom.

The adorable cub feeds from the black Lab at an Indian zoo!

When the cub’s mom abandoned and rejected him him, the zoo keepers looked to the Labrador to take her place suckling the young tiger while continuing to feed her own pup.

The amazing dog has been feeding the tiger cub as well as two barking deer fawns for the past 3 weeks.

The cub’s mother rejected her baby and had to be isolated, said Uttam Yadav, the OIC of the zoo.

The two fawns are orphans, rescued by the Forest Department in Indore and brought to the zoo for rearing, Mr. Yadav said.

“The feeding started a week after birth,” said Mr. Yadav. He added that the cub and the fawns are fed 4 to 5 times a day.

The sweet Labrador will continue to feed the zoo animals for one more month.
