On Saturday, a chocolate hunting Labrador,ironically named Trigger, accidentally shot his owner in the foot while on a waterfowl hunt.
According to the Associated Press, the police said a northern Indiana woman is recovering after she was shot in the foot by her Labrador.
Indiana Conservation Officer Jonathon Boyd says Allie Carter laid her 12-gauge shotgun on the ground without the safety on during a waterfowl hunt Saturday at Tri-County Fish and Wildlife Area.
Boyd says the woman’s dog, Trigger, stepped on the shotgun,depressing the trigger. Carter was shot in the left foot at point-blank range – causing injuries to her foot and toes.
Carter was treated at two hospitals and is now recovering at home.
