In the UK, one hungry Labrador got her tongue cut after trying to eat cat food inside a paper shredder.

According to Daily Mail, Ruby’s owner’s son said the Labrador must have knocked the cat food off the table – making it fall inside the shredder. He was about to go to work when he saw blood in the kitchen. He then checked Ruby and found out what happened. He believes the incident happened at night since the bleeding in the Labrador’s mouth had already stopped.

The vets who attended to Ruby’s case think the Labrador accidentally turned on the paper shredder while trying to eat the cat food she had knocked into it.

Ruby had to be spoon-fed for the first couple of days but has since made a full recovery.

Oh Ruby!
