Here’s the video, and some images of the famous Lab, Miss Babe.
The black Labrador Retriever has been hard at work on the field since August 2006. Her career as a bat dog started when she was a nine-month-old puppy. She fetches bats and balls throughout the game. Miss Babe’s brother Yogi Berra and niece Lou Lou Gehrig also work Grasshoppers games.
The Grasshoppers built a life-size statue of Miss Babe outside the ballpark in 2011 to commemorate her service.
