Dogs Escape Fenced Yards As Snow Heaps High In MassachusettsAs the snow heaps high in Weymouth, Massachusetts, dogs have been escaping fenced yards by climbing the snow mounds. Police have warneddog owners and advised them to keep their dogs leashed.



Snow in the area has reached 100 inches for the whole season and most of it has come within the past month. There is so much snow that dogs can climb the steep snow bank in their yards and escape.

The Weymouth Police Departmentissued this warning on its Facebook page last Thursday February 26.

The police department also warned residents that their beloved dogs could be picked up and sent to a shelter if they didn’t have their proper identifications, or worse – get hit by cars.
